Steven & Renée
Steven de Jongh spent 15 years racing at the top of professional cycling. Paris-Roubaix, the Spring Classics, Grand Tour support work at the highest level; he has ridden it all, and alongside some of the best the sport has ever produced.
Since then he's coached at that same level. He guided Alberto Contador day in, day out for five years; Alberto credits those training years with the biggest wins of his late career. Today Steven is head directeur sportif at Lidl-Trek, works with Quinn Simmons daily, and is Juan Ayuso's personal directeur sportif.
Ride the Elevation exists to pass that on. The same coach who plans a Grand Tour rider’s week is the one riding beside you, watching how you move, and telling you what he sees. Direct, and it comes from somewhere genuine; not a coaching manual, but years of doing it at the highest level.
Renée Meijer makes sure every detail of your week is taken care of. In the support vehicle on the climbs, at the hotel before you arrive, her hospitality is what turns a great cycling trip into one you'll want to do again.

You ride, we handle everything else
Max eight riders, one coach
Eight riders maximum. That’s not a marketing line; it’s how Steven can actually ride with you, watch how you move, and give you feedback that means something.
On the climbs everyone rides their own pace and regroups regularly. Nobody gets dropped and forgotten, and nobody has to hold back all week either.
Renée is always behind you
Renée follows the route in the team car on every single ride. Spare wheels, a mechanical sorted, a jacket when the weather turns on the descent, a seat in the car if the day’s gone long.
You never have to worry about being stranded, which is exactly what lets you push harder than you would at home.
You’ll never run empty
Stops for food and drink come often, long before you need them, not after. Bottles refilled, real food, a proper coffee stop.
Nobody bonks on an RTE camp because nobody is left to manage their own fuelling.
Bottles topped up on the road
Ride food provided daily
Café stops built into every route
Evenings taken care of
Comfortable hotels, breakfast and dinner included. Bikes stored safely overnight.
After a hard day in the mountains, the only decision you need to make is what you want to eat.
Legendary routes and classic summits
Happy campers

Riders of all kinds, with all kinds of goals, come to cycle with Ride The Elevation. Let us know what you’re looking for in a cycle camp, or if you have specific dates in mind.
Ride the Elevation is designed for committed cyclists, not professional racers. If you're comfortable riding 4–6 hours in the saddle and want to push yourself in a structured, supportive environment, you'll fit right in. Camps are built around the group, and Steven's experience managing riders of varying levels means no one gets left behind.
Yes. Steven isn't a figurehead; he's present, on the road, and involved every day. That direct access to someone who has raced and directed at the highest level is what makes these camps different.
Everything you need to focus entirely on riding. Accommodation, meals, guided rides, and coaching are all covered. Full details of what's included can be found on the What's Included page.
